About me

I am Plains Ojibwe, from Swan Lake First Nation in Manitoba, Canada. As a Bear Clan member, my clan responsibilities are carrying the plant medicines and conducting healing work through ceremony and rituals.

Over the past 40 years I’ve worked alongside Elders, Healers, Chiefs and their Councillors during my work at the First Nation/Reservation, Tribal Council, and Regional Chiefs organizations. These experiences connected me to the communities and the ceremonial people, whom I made relationships with and apprenticed alongside.

I treasure the relationships, knowledge, and realize the privilege of the years spent alongside my teachers and Elders, as an ishkwe-o/helper/apprentice. I sought out this healing path, it is our spirits journey to be well and to help others, this is DOING CREATORS’ WORK.

My greatest treasures are my three children and the friends and relatives in my inner circle, who share in shenanigans and ceremony.

I am a Sundancer, a pipe and lodge carrier, a healer working with plant medicines and ceremony, a teacher, a writer, a singer/songwriter, and an advocate. I have created at least 30 Indigenous health, language, and education programs for learners of all ages. I’m not finished, there is so much that needs to be shared, so that I don’t walk out of this world with my medicine still in me.

I provide sacred healing space and rituals, teachings & ceremonies to connect you with your spirit and to help you cultivate your spiritual practice. I work with people from all nations and all ways of being, doing, and living.
